Between Thursday, 30th October to Saturday, 1st November 2008, Desert Springs was host to the Sir Ian Botham Charity Golf Series Grand Final.
A host of sporting celebrities & legends from the world of Golf, Football, Horse Racing, Snooker, Atheletics, Cricket and Rugby were in attendance to support of the event to help raise funds for Leukaemia Research including; Ian Woosnam OBE, Sir Clive Woodward OBE, Jimmy Case, Steve Richardson, Matt Dawson, Paul Way, D.J. Russell, Peter Baker, Steve Cram MBE, Dennis Taylor & Mick Fitzgerald.
